You can also get a Passport to Bangkok from a friend. Each Beta participate has the option to send out three passports to friends.
Upon traveling to Bangkok you are greeted with:
Clicking "Hand Out Passports" leads to a Friend selection process:
If you decide not to immediately send a Passport to a friend, you can return to this screen at a later time:
There is also a new Achievement:
When you have selected a friend to whom to send a Passport (and you can only select one friend at a time), it appears that you are required to post the obligatory Mafia Wars Newsfeed spam:
